Our Story
We are twin brothers that grew up on a farm near Dalby, in Queensland, Australia (yeah google it, you probably haven’t heard of it), where the only thing drier than the paddocks was our sense of humour. Growing up, we always loved playing outside, riding motor bikes and mustering cattle, but that was just work. When we clocked off we were inside gaming. Games weren't just a hobby for us, they were our obsession. Board games, card games, video games, you name it, we played it (and yes, we argued over who won!).
Do you remember playing your very first video game? It was Halo for us…..that sound track still gets me every time. Or perhaps, you remember the first time you rage quit Monopoly for not being able to pay the rent, or that cousin that made you draw +20 in Uno. The point is, we bet you were super excited and had so much fun playing these games growing up and you might be looking for that nostalgia again. Well, we are proud to announce that our lifelong obsession for games has actually turned into something - Shocking Deal. It is our dream project, and let’s just say we have poured more energy into it than we ever did into farm chores (sorry, Dad).
After years of brainstorming, testing, and occasionally shouting “That’s it! That’s the idea!” in the middle of the night or in the shower, we are finally bringing our first card game to life. And trust us, this is just the beginning. Our goal is to create games that don’t just entertain, but electrify the room with surprises, strategy, and plenty of “aha!” moments.
We've put everything we have into creating Shocking Deal; a game we are confident will light up game nights everywhere. It is not just about who wins... okayyy, maybe it is ALL about winning.
